The Nokia E70 is aimed at the high-end professional market. The 16 million color screen has a 352×416 pixel (totalling 146,432 pixels) resolution, and the E70 is capable of GSM, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity. The SIP VoIP functionality will currently not work through a firewall or most router configurations. Nokia has made a statement that they are working on implementing STUN (originally planned for 2006 but only available for E70-1 as of June 2008), TURN and ICE (also planned for 2007 but not available as of June 2008).
As well, the advanced Bluetooth capabilities of the phone, capable of connecting to up to six devices simultaneously, lacks A2DP support.

Nokia E61 E61i
The Nokia E61 is a smartphone from the Eseries range, a Series 60 Third Edition device with a QWERTY keyboard targeting business users in the European market. As of Q4 2006 Cingular and Rogers Wireless have deployed a similar yet restricted version designated the Nokia E62 in the North American and Brazilian markets. The E62 is substantially similar but without an 802.11 WiFi chipset or W-CDMA (UMTS) 3G support. E61 supports 900/1800/1900 bands, while E62 can operate in 850/900/1800/1900 in order to support American networks.
On 12 February 2007 Nokia announced the E61i as a follow up product.Contents [hide]

Nokia E55 is a mobile phone in the business segment, intended to be compact, yet suitable for writing e-mails and other longer texts on. This is accomplished by a so-called compact QWERTY keyboard with two characters per key. Designwise, the Nokia E55 is almost exactly identical to its twin, the E52, and both phones feature the exact same specifications. The only difference lies in their keypad layout.
The E55 has 20 keys arranged in the standard QWERTY layout, but because each alphabet is not assigned its own key, typing is achieved either by using the predictive text input (where each key is typed once per word and the software automatically guesses the word you type using an internal dictionary) or using multitap.
The phone was announced on February 16, 2009 during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
Nokia E52
The Nokia E52 is a smartphone from the Nokia Eseries range. It is a Symbian OS 9.3 device with a 240x320 screen. It is available in metal grey aluminium, golden aluminium and Gold. It comes with a 1GB MicroSD memory card, but it supports MicroSD cards with up to 16GB memory. It also has 60MB free user memory. It is an update to Nokia's successful E51 model. It was released concurrently with E55, which is physically and functionally identical, except for the traditional T9 keypad as opposed to compact QWERTY keypad in E55.Contents [hide]

Nokia N97
Nokia N97 is a touch screen "mobile computer" in the Nseries of smartphones by Nokia, with a fold-out QWERTY keyboard.
Announced on 2 December 2008,[2][3][4] the N97 is Nokia's second touchscreen phone (after the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic) based on the Symbian OS S60 5th edition platform.
The Nokia N97 was released in US flagship stores on 9 June 2009[5] and on 26th June 2009 was released worldwide. In September 2009 it was reported that two million N97 handsets had been sold in three months following its release.[6]
The N97 ships with trial versions of Quick Office, Adobe reader, Boingo and JoikuSpot Premium as well as Nokia's own Ovi Maps and Ovi store. The initial software had mixed reception, prompting the release of new firmware in October 2009. Nokia released the new firmware with kinetic scrolling for the N97 to address the major issues present in the firmware the device launched with. However, the new firmware still causes problems with some functions of the device.[citation needed]Contents [hide]

Operating times
Informal tests have shown that the battery can last nearly two days with regular use of the phone's various features.[7] Nokia quote the following claimed operating times
Talk time: Up to 6.0 hours (3G), 9.5 hours (GSM)
Standby time: Up to 17 days (3G), 18 days (GSM)
Video playback: Up to 4.5 hours (offline mode)
Video recording: Up to 3.6 hours (offline mode)
Music playback: Up to 40 hours (offline mode)
Digital TV
With the optional DVB-H Nokia Mobile TV Receiver, SU-33W it is possible to watch television on the phone.
Criticism
On occasion, the camera lens cover of the N97 can cause scratches on the lens. Nokia has acknowledged that on many devices the cover is mounted too closely to the lens so that dust and debris can cause scratches.[8] On later models however, this issue seems to have been resolved.
Other common criticisms are the relative lack of RAM and free disk space on the C drive. With only around 50MB of free RAM available after boot, the phone can become sluggish and close programs in order to conserve memory. Many first part applications also will only install on C: and with around 50MB of free space, this is used quickly as it is also where temporary OS files are placed. This issue was resolved in the N97 mini as the user often has over 250MB of free space on C drive. A memory mapping alteration from firmware version 20 allowed applications to use less RAM and free it up better, helping to ease the strain of a lower amount of free RAM to the end-user.
Anssi Vanjoki, EVP of Markets at Nokia, admitted that quality control in software and hardware has been an issue for this device, saying "it has been a tremendous disappointment in terms of the experience quality for the consumers", though later repaired by firmware updates.[9].
Marketing
The phone can be seen in the beginning of the music video for I Gotta Feeling by the Black Eyed Peas when two of the members: Taboo and apl.de.ap are checking their DipDive and text messages.
Nokia N97 Mini
The N97 Mini is a downsized version of the N97 and has been available since October 2009. The N97 Mini downsized some features of the original N97, such as 8 GB of storage memory, 3.2 inch touchscreen, removal of FM transmitter and a shorter battery life. It includes however a bigger internal (phone) memory. It uses the 2.0 Nokia N97 software by default.[10]
A limited edition called the N97 mini Raoul Limited Edition has been released in relation with fashion house FJ Benjamin and the Raoul brand. It also features the new Fashion Asia widget and went on sale in late October 2009 in Malaysia and Singapore.[11] Here under are some major changes listed in a table. N97 N97 mini

Nokia N95

The Nokia N95 (N95-1, internally known as RM-159) is a smartphone produced by Nokia as part of their Nseries line of portable devices. It was released in 2007. The N95 runs Symbian OS v9.2, with a S60 3rd Edition user interface. The phone has a two-way sliding mechanism, which can be used to access either media playback buttons or a numeric keypad.
Its capabilities include[1][2]: a Global Positioning System receiver with maps and optional turn-by-turn directions; a 5 megapixel digital camera with Carl Zeiss optics, flash, video recording and video conferencing; wireless connectivity via HSDPA, IrDA, 802.11x and Bluetooth; a portable media player with the ability to download podcasts over the air; a FM Radio tuner; Composite Video output via included cable; multi-tasking to allow several applications to run simultaneously; a web browser with support for HTML, JavaScript and Adobe Flash; messaging via SMS, MMS and e-mail; Office suite and organizer functions; and the ability to install and run third party Java ME or Symbian mobile applications.
Since the introduction of the original N95-1, several updated versions have been released as well: The N95 8GB with 8 gigabytes of internal storage and a larger display, the N95 NAM and the N95 8GB NAM with support for North American UMTS (3G) bands, and finally the lower cost N95-5 and N95-6 for the Chinese market. On the release date in 2007, the phone cost close to 350 euros, roughly about 500 US dollars. Even with the release of many more Nseries phones, the current retail price is still rounding the 400 $US[3], about 300€.Contents [hide]

History
The phone was unveiled in September 2006 and was released at the end of March 2007.
On March 08, 2007 Nokia was shipping N95 in key European, Asian and Middle Eastern markets[4]. It was on sale in many countries on the week of March 11.
On April 7, 2007, the N95 went on sale in the United States through Nokia's Flagship stores in New York and Chicago and through Nokia's nseries.com website. No US carriers were expected to offer this phone. The U.S. version started retailing without carrier branding or discounts in Nokia's flagship stores in New York and Chicago on September 26, 2007.[5][6].
On August 29, 2007, two updated versions of the N95 were announced at a press event in London; first, the N95-2 (N95 8GB), an updated version for the European/Asian markets with 8 gigabytes of internal storage and larger screen[7] [8] [9] [10]; secondly, the N95-3 (N95 NAM), replacing the original 2100 MHz W-CDMA air interface with support for the 850 MHz and 1900 MHz frequencies used for the 3G networks of most GSM-compatible mobile carriers in the Americas, including AT&T Mobility.
Finally, later on January 7, 2008, Nokia introduced the N95-4, which is the US 8Gb version of the N95-3. The phone got its FCC approval in January 30 and launched March 18[11][12]. The first carrier to utilise this approval was Rogers Wireless in May 2009.

[edit]
Integrated GPS Ability
The N95 contains an integrated GPS receiver which is located below the 0 key on the keypad. The phone ships with Nokia Maps navigation software. Maps are free and voice guidance program can be downloaded for a modest fee.
Multimedia Features
The N95's dedicated multimedia keys are accessed via the 2-way slider
Out of the box, the N95 supports audio in MP3, WMA, RealAudio, SP-MIDI, AAC+, eAAC+, MIDI, AMR and M4A formats. Its two-way slide, when opened towards the keypad, allows access to its media playback buttons. A standard 3.5 mm jack is located on the left side of the phone and allows the user to connect any standard headphones to the unit. Users can also use Bluetooth for audio output using A2DP, or use the built-in stereo speakers. The N95 is also capable of playing video in 3GP, MPEG4, RealVideo and in newer firmware, Flash Video formats. All of the phone's video output can also be played through the TV-out feature. TV-out is a feature offered by the phones OMAP processor, that allows users to connect the smartphone, using the supplied cable, to a TV or any other composite video input. Its main purpose is to allow users to show photos and videos on a large screen. The N95's built in UPnP capabilities also allow the user to share the phones' media over a WLAN network. This provides easy access to the photos, music and videos stored on the phone, from other UPnP capable devices on the network, enabling them to be watched or downloaded over the air.
Internet
The N95 has built-in Wi-Fi, with which it can access the Internet (through a 802.11b/g wireless network). The N95 can also connect to the Internet through a carrier packet data network such as UMTS, HSDPA, or EDGE. The webkit-based browser displays full web pages as opposed to simplified pages as on most other phones. Web pages may be viewed in portrait or landscape mode and automatic zooming is supported. The N95 also has built-in Bluetooth and works with wireless earpieces that use Bluetooth 2.0 technology and for file transfer.
It should be noted that the original N95 does not support US based versions of UMTS/HSDPA; UMTS features in these versions of the phone are disabled by default. Furthermore, the later N95 US versions support only AT&T's 850/1900 MHz UMTS/HSDPA bands, neither 1700 MHz of T-Mobile USA nor 2100 MHz bands are supported internationally.
The phone can also act as a WAN access point allowing a tethered PC access to a carrier's packet data network. VoIP software and functionality is also included with the phone (though some carriers have opted to remove this feature).
Accelerometer
The N95 includes a built-in accelerometer. This was originally only used for video stabilization and photo orientation (to keep landscape or portrait shots oriented as taken).
Nokia Research Center has allowed an application interface directly to the accelerometer, allowing software to use the data from it. Nokia has released a step counter application to demonstrate this.[13][14] Another Nokia-created application taking advantage of the accelerometer is Nokia Sports Tracker.
Third-party programs have been created, including software that will automatically change the screen orientation when the phone is tilted, programs that simulate the sounds of a Star Wars lightsaber[15] when the phone is waved through the air, allow you to mute the phone by turning it face-down, and many more.

N-Gage
Nokia N93 is a phone which was distributed, and came out with N-Gage application, but Nokia didn't include that in N93's package. This phone has two modes (landscape and portrait)and also has a keypad format, which made possible to play the N-Gage 2.0. Within this case, many N93 users frequently asked Nokia if they will make an N-Gage version for the N93 and N93i. However Nokia said that they wouldn't be doing this. Some N93 users then modified the N-Gage application so that there would come up a compatible N-Gage version for the phone. This modified application can be found now on the internet

Because of its unusual keypad, some users refer to it as confusing.

Nokia N91
The Nokia N91 is a mobile phone that was released to the public in April of 2006. It is part of the Nokia Nseries range of mobile phones. It features a 2-megapixel camera and a 4GB (8GB in a revision released later that year) hard drive to store approximately 3,000 songs encoded in either AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, MP3, mp3PRO, WAV, MIDI, or Microsoft's WMA format. It also features 3G and wi-fi connectivity. The phone features a 176 x 208, 262,144 colours TFT LCD display and dedicated music functionality buttons (XpressMusic) that slide down to reveal traditional mobile phone keys. Battery life when solely playing music has been estimated at 12 hours.
In advertisements for the phone, Nokia recommended Bose and Sennheiser headphones.
An 8GB variant, internally known as N91-2, was also released. This upgraded model features some minor improvements in addition to the extra storage space. It is re-called as the best audio quality ever through headphones.Contents [hide]

Operating System
The phone features the Symbian Series 60 Operating System. It was the first phone with the Symbian OS 9.1 operating system to be released.
Problems and Criticisms
There have been a few problems with the N91, namely connecting the phone to a Macintosh computer. This will often cause the phone to crash as the two units are disconnected and music files are often not recognised despite being loaded into the phone's hard drive. Also, in old firmware versions, when you install a new theme, it will reset itself back to the default theme. Users can update the firmware using Nokia's PC Suite.
In the Philippines, there was an incident involving an N91 being used with one of Nokia's 46 million recalled BL-5C lithium-ion batteries[1], and exploded as a result

Nokia N90
The Nokia N90 multimedia is a smartphone with two displays and Carl Zeiss optics (made by Konica Minolta). It has a 2 megapixel built-in digital camera with autofocus, 20× digital zoom, integrated flash, macro mode and the ability to record high quality video (352×288 MPEG-4 video with AAC-LC audio). The phone has no vibration feature. The screen swivels through 270 degrees so that the phone can be handled in a 'video camera' style. The camera lens also swivels to allow shots from unique angles.
It uses the Series 60 2nd Edition, Feature Pack 3 user interface and the Symbian OS 8.1a operating system. Recent revisions also ship with Version 2 of the Nokia Lifeblog software.
The N90 does not have a built-in hard disk drive like the Nokia N91 but it features 31 MB flash memory and is usually packaged with a 64 MB or 128 MB in-box DV-RS-MMC memory card. Nokia continues its recent tradition of bundling a USB data cable with the phone, previously an aftermarket item priced close to US$40. A 1 GB memory card allows storage of four hours of video on the handset.
The Nokia N90 began shipping in Q2 2005. It is available in countries such as Australia, Singapore and India, and in Q1 2006 was made available in the United States. In 2006 it was available for around the equivalent of US$720. Besides the expensive price, the Nokia N90 does have some problems as well. The size of the phone is pretty big, the phone is also very heavy and chunky, which makes it a bit unattractive to some, but the unique features of this phone are worth the trade off to others.Contents [hide]

Nokia N86 8MP
The Nokia N86 8MP is a Symbian Series 60 mobile phone. One of its main selling points is its photography features.[1]
It is Nokia's first camera phone to have an 8 megapixel sensor, and features both multiple aperture settings and a mechanical shutter (uncommon features by the standards of camera phones), and a Carl Zeiss lens with a wide angle of view (28mm equivalent). It also has auto focus and a dual LED flash (3rd generation dual-LEDs), and an AF assist light. Video capture resolution is 640 x 480 pixels (VGA) at 30 frames per second.[2]
The N86 8MP has a toughened glass front cover and metal detailing. It is similar in specification to the Nokia N85, with a 2.6-inch OLED display and the "dual-slider" form factor.[3][4]. It also has the same kickback stand so it's possible to use as a small standalone screen, and it's possible to configure the opening of the stand to launch applications such as the video player.[5]
The N86 8MP is a 3.5G device with dual-band HSDPA support, quad-band GSM and Wi-Fi. It has an A-GPS receiver, which links into location-based services via Nokia Maps, and photographs can be automatically geo-tagged. There is also a built-in digital compass, and FM radio, and there is also a FM transmitter. It is rated to give 6 hours talktime, 25 hours music playback and 11 days on standby on a full charge.[2]Contents [hide]

Nokia N82
The Nokia N82 is a smartphone announced by Nokia on November 14 2007. It is part of the companies Nseries line of smartphones which features the N-Gage gaming platform and the Nokia Music store (where available). The N82 runs Symbian OS v9.2 based S60 3rd Edition platform with Feature Pack 1.
The first Nokia phone with Xenon flash, the N82 has a 5 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, and was considered the best camera phone on the market[1][2] until the arrival of the Nokia N86 8MP.
Discussions and head to head comparisons of these two models demonstrate the N86 8MP, which is equipped with dual LED flash, is not consistently capable of outperforming the N82 in variable lighting.[3] The primary advantage of using LED is light source for video recording, whereas the Xenon flash has a stronger burst of light, but it cannot be used for recording videos due to its technical composition.[4]
The N82 includes a built-in accelerometer for video stabilisation and photo orientation (to keep landscape or portrait shots oriented as taken). The N82 has automatic screen rotation (270, not 180 nor 90 degrees), as a standard feature.
The China market version of the N82 has a different hardware platform and has Wi-Fi and the UMTS radio removed (i.e. no 3G support). It also has a different product code (RM-314 as opposed to RM-313) and the firmware is not compatible. It can be easily identified by the lack of the line saying "WLAN scanning" on the idle screen. This version is for mainland China only and the N82s in Hong Kong and Macau are standard APAC RM-313s with the 3G and Wi-Fi.Contents [hide]

Camera privacy
The N82 camera makes a shutter sound and flashes the focusing light near the phone's flash while taking a picture. Although the sound can be changed, it cannot be turned off in many regions including Asia and North America. This feature was implemented to protect people's privacy. The European and Chinese firmware are exceptions to this as they can mute the shutter sound when the mobile is in silent mode.

Problems
The Nokia N81 suffered from lower sound output due to the release of the new firmware version. According to Nokia, they must follow an international standard wherein a device's initial or default volume must be set to low to avoid any damage to its users.

Nokia N81 8GB
An 8GB version of the Nokia N81 is also available. The only difference is the lack of the Micro SD slot. The phone treats the 8GB as a Micro SD, while keeping a memory about 25MB to itself.
Gaming
The device is also known for being a gaming-dedicated device because it can be played as a typical game console. The device comes with 2 dedicated gaming keys that can be used on N-Gage games and other applications.
Nokia N80
The Nokia N80 is a multimedia 3G smartphone made by Nokia with support for high-speed UMTS/WCDMA connections. Features include a 3.1 megapixel camera (interpolated from 2.0-megapixels) with built-in flash (on the back of the device), another camera (on the front) for videoconferencing, Wi-Fi (802.11g), Universal Plug and Play (UPnP), FM radio, Bluetooth 1.2, digital music player functionality, MiniSD memory card slot, and support for 3D Java games.[citation needed] Because of its memory card and relatively large screen, it can function as a portable media player.[citation needed]
It uses the third edition of the Series 60 user interface (S60v3) and the Symbian operating system version 9.1.[citation needed] It is not backward compatible with software compiled for earlier versions of the Symbian operating system.[citation needed]
The N80 is Nokia's first UPnP-compatible phone, allowing the transfer of media files to compatible devices over Wi-Fi.[citation needed]Contents [hide]
